What's in my bag?

Small bags, big bags, crossbodys, etc. What's your favorite? How many purses does a girl really need in her life? Since being a teenager I've collected, thrown away, or passed on so many bags. Going to school and having a part-time job, my options were very limited. Whether it be shopping at Forever XXI, Target, or boutique shops, these were my go to places. Being older and more wiser with my money spending, I've invested in credit cards and the most obvious a savings account.

My collection of bags right now is rather small, but with time, some patience, and money, it will soon grow.

My everyday bags are either my blue Kate Spade purse or my pink Vera Bradley crossbody. Having to always be on the go, I've learned to always have the essentials. In my bag, I always seem to have my wallet, which carries my ID, some cash, credit cards, etc. Also, I'll have a body spray, lotion, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, a couple of pens and on occasion some gum or breath-mints. I try to treat my bags as if they have feelings, I hope I'm not the only person who feels this way.

"Im Feeling 22"

This post is an extra special one because it wasn't just my 22nd birthday, it was also my good friend Mercedes. We have been friends since our freshman year in high school and have always been in touch with one another. I am a big believer in 'signs' and I believe we were meant to be in each others lives, till this day we are always getting asked if we are sisters or cousins because they say we look alike, so we just go along with it.

Now normally, this isn't an outfit I thought I would ever have the courage to wear, but I did. If your like me, I don't like to show too much of my skin, so if you feel uncomfortable with showing off too much, you could just throw on a denim jacket or any type of jacket at all, just make sure it's light and something you can definitely still show your best dance moves.

I had a difficult time finding the right pieces to go together with this outfit, the red crop top was the first piece and I actually purchased it from my work Forever 21. I wasn't quite sure on what look I wanted to continue with, I paired it with denim, cropped bell bottoms, and none of those were the looks I envisioned. I looked into other stores, like Pacsun, A'gaci, Charlotte Russe, etc. It wasn't until I had walked into H&M and found some lose fitting shorts that were just perfect. For my heels, I purchased these a while back at Forever 21, I couldn't miss the opportunity only because they were on sale. Who doesn't love a good deal.

"Anything For Salinas"

Everyone, and i mean everyone has to at least seen the movie Selena. And if i say so for myself, Jennifer Lopez did a fantastic job playing her role. A few weeks ago before this shirt hit the stores of Forever 21, i saw it on twitter and so i waited patiently for it to arrive. The only way that i was able to get first dibs on this shirt is because i work at Forever 21, i am what they call a "Visual Associate", so if you ever wonder who does those fabulous tables or puts the new merchandise on the floor. Well, that's me. Finally, i see a full size run of the Selena shirt and i just had to buy it. I did pair it with another Forever 21 item, a black leather skirt with a zipper on each side. This is a type of outfit i would wear to a bar or a club, so that's why i paired it with my black ankle strap heels, i got these from the A'gaci shoe store, luckily my size was the only one left.

Its a shame for my generation to have not been able to see her in person or to have been able to go to one of her concerts. She is definitely a music artist that i most inspire. As her anniversary of her death comes up, this is a dedication for her. Rest in Peace Selena.

When i first saw these pair of shoes, I immediately fell in love. I wasn't able to purchase them right away and when i did have the money for them they were not in stores anymore, no where to be found and 2x more expensive. I've been wanting these pair of pink NMD R1's for awhile now and I've waited long enough for them. I am on vacation in New York City with my boyfriend Aaron, so we had to stop by to one of our favorite shoe stores Flight Club. They are very comfortable, and of course with any pair of new sneakers you have to break them in to get past the blisters.
